So the poor excuse for green space will be reduced even further and the Bottle Tree and the Moreton Bay Fig will be squashed into a space half the size. I appreciate the Council’s (probably horrendously expensive) attempt to save the trees and maintain a miniature park. I didn’t think we needed another large supermarket in such close proximity and I certainly don’t appreciate further loss of the green space, let alone the basket ball court. What happened to the cinema and what was the point of the consultation process?

I hope the childrens section goes ahead at the very least. Such a shame.

After a extensive consultation process they (local government) completely ignored all submissions.

The Result?
1. No park
2. A lost opportunity
3. A erosion of public trust and confidence in any future “consultations” that might occur
4. We discover Big Business has more sway that EVERYBODY else.
5. Community capital and amenity is diminished.
